The ACL Program Specialist is part of a team that manages grants and subrecipients to ensure Medicare beneficiaries as well as older adults and their caregivers receive services that meet the federal grant requirements. This position will assist in those efforts for various programs - SHIINE (Senior Health Information and Insurance Education), Caregiver Support, Adult Nutrition Program, Legal Assistance, etc. Position will be responsible to process invoices timely, work on efforts to recruit volunteers, manage SHIINE volunteers and conduct regular education on Medicare guidelines as well as to promote proper reporting, process caregiver vouchers timely for payment, communicate with caregivers regarding any questions, and assist the contract and ACL teams with other requests.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A high school diploma and relevant work experience or additional training. Effective time management skills, strong customer service skills, and attention to detail are must haves. Experience managing contractors, sub-grantees, consultants and/or volunteers is also beneficial.
Knowledge of:
- computer based programs such as Google workspace, Teams, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word;
- Medicare;
- financial data to process invoices.
Ability to:
- effectively communicate;
- self-initiate;
- coach others on technology;
- assist and lead informative trainings and meetings;
- empower others;
- be a team player.
