28 Mile Distilling Co. in Highwood, IL is looking for experienced bartenders to join our growing team. 28 Mile is a one-of-a-kind space featuring an upscale cocktail lounge, live music and event venue and seasonal rooftop beer garden all in the same building. If you like enhancing a customers experience and enjoy a fast paced environment then 28 Mile is for you.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate
