Job Title: Accountant/Bookkeeper – Temp to Hire

Location: Tacoma, WA

Pay: $27-$30 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

SmartTalent is a locally owned, full-service staffing agency dedicated to connecting top talent with exceptional employers. We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper for a valued client in the Tacoma, WA area. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with room for long-term growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage billing, accounting, payroll, and driver pay
• Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Utilize QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping tasks
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts
• Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance reporting
• Prepare financial reports as needed
• Perform other bookkeeping and administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online is required
• Familiarity with WaspCloud or Gusto is a plus
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll processing
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
