As a Butcher at Cafe Zaffri , you will play a pivotal role in preparing protiens to the
exact standards set by Chef Mary Attea and Chef Andrew Sutin. You will uphold our commitment to quality,
timeliness, and cleanliness, adhering to all Department of Health guidelines to ensure a
safe and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare dishes following specified recipes, including weighing, mixing, and cooking methods.
- Work efficiently within a par system to meet operational needs.
- Ensure all ingredients and final products are fresh and of the highest quality.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including utensils, equipment, and dishes.
- Adhere to DOH food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory, prep needs, and
station status.
- Report any food waste or breakage to the opening Sous Chef for proper recording.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years experience in fine dining restaurant
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver an exceptional dining
experience.
- Strong comprehension and organization skills to accurately execute recipes.
- A team player attitude, willing to help out wherever necessary.
- The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbs
- Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
