Our new Delivery Drivers will have the opportunity to learn our business, and to grow their knowledge and expertise in understanding our products and equipment and how to efficiently delivery customer orders in and around the Denver area. All new Delivery Drivers will progress through an extensive training program that will help them to understand the unique aspects of our business, while learning best in class customer service and delivery methods. Delivery Drivers will be provided all the tools and the training that they need to be successful in their position. Moreover, Delivery Drivers will be provided a fully equipped DOT certified delivery vehicle that will be meticulously maintained to insure DOT compliance and safety. All Delivery personnel will be required to assist in the warehouse as an additional duty, and may be required assist in pulling and loading the delivery vehicle when needed. All delivery personnel are expected to greet and acknowledge all customers in a friendly, professional manner, and provide quick, responsive customer service. Responsible for all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of delivery area with strong ability to read maps and follow directions
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Independent worker
Maintain valid class B CDL, Health Card, HAZMAT, Airbrakes
Must be able to pass Post-Offer Employment Test, DOT physical, Drug/Alcohol test and background check
All other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED required
Previous delivery driver experience preferred
Computer literacy necessary and SAP experience preferred
Physical Demands:
The Driver’s physical job demands include maximum frequent lift of 25 lbs from 84 inches to floor; maximum frequent lift of 50 lbs from 48 inches to floor; maximum occasional carry of 50 lbs for 100 ft+; maximum frequent horizontal push/pull force of 35 lbs for 100 ft+; maximum frequent downward vertical push/pull force of 35 lbs at 40 in height; maximum frequent climb of 24 inches; occasional climb stairs 8-10 in height; maximum frequent forward reach of 36 inches; maximum frequent lateral reach of 24 inches; frequent bend; occasional neck extension; frequent neck flexion; frequent neck rotation; occasional fine motor coordination; constant hand coordination; constant foot coordination; occasional balance; constant sitting; occasional standing; and occasional walking. PDC Level: HEAVY based on frequency of lifts required.
Additional Comments: The Driver could be walking and climbing on surfaces which may be slick from outdoor elements or oil or other fluids.
