Job Description

Our client is looking for a hardworking, motivated, experienced manufacturing Cost Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate should have manufacturing accounting and COGS experience . This position is responsible for calculating manufacturing costs, weekly variance reporting and analysis, and monthly Cost of Goods Sold reporting.

Location: Cartersville, GA
Pay: $70,000 - $90,000

What's the Job?

• Determine the cost of each product, including direct materials, labor, and overhead.
• Find areas where materials, time, or expenses are being wasted.
• Ensure inventory levels are accurate.
• Find differences in costs and investigate the causes.
• Create detailed reports and cost comparisons.
• Suggest changes to reduce costs.
• Assist with the company budget.
• Perform ERP process continuous improvements.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an accounting focus.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting.
• Must be able to calculate product costs.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention detail, and organizational skills to manage complex data sets and reporting deadlines.
• Prepare costs reports and variance analysis to identify cost efficiencies.
• ERP experience - NetSuite preferably.
• Must have advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office products.
