We are seeking a results-driven, creative, and detail-oriented  Email Marketing Specialist to bring our email and SMS marketing operations in-house. You will play a pivotal role in engaging prospective students, nurturing leads, and supporting student success through targeted, data-driven communications. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the student journey and the growth of online education at OU.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end execution of email and SMS marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud , Mogli and Contact Engine from strategy and segmentation to deployment and analysis.
  • Develop and optimize targeted distribution lists within Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, leveraging advanced segmentation and automation to deliver personalized communications.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Services, Student Success, and Marketing teams to create compelling, relevant content and ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Work closely with the marketing department's Content Lead to write, proofread, and edit email and SMS copy, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand voice.
  • Implement dynamic content, responsive design, and A/B testing to maximize engagement and conversion rates.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze KPIs, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with email and SMS marketing best practices, compliance requirements, and digital marketing trends.
  • Support quality assurance, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure flawless campaign execution.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven team environment that values innovation and student success.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required .
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience executing high-volume email marketing campaigns, ideally in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar platform.
  • Experience with SMS/text marketing platforms ( Mogli or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and email design best practices; graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make metrics-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SaaS tools; experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.

Qualifications

Education:

Experience:

8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing roles, ideally within higher education or education technology sectors.

At least 3 years of experience managing a team of marketing professionals.

Demonstrated success in developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies.

Skills:

Strong leadership abilities with experience in coaching and mentoring teams.

Lead the planning, creation, and optimization of content across web, email, social, and paid channels

Manages Content Specialist/s and Social Media Coordinator and coordinates with other team members to ensure integrated messaging
