Position Overview
The Associate Director of Marketing will play a pivotal leadership role in driving strategic marketing initiatives and overseeing the performance of a team of three Marketing Managers. This position is responsible for aligning marketing strategies with organizational goals, fostering collaboration across teams, and ensuring the successful execution of campaigns that enhance brand visibility, student engagement, and enrollment outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing professional with a proven track record in higher education or education technology marketing. They possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking capabilities, and the ability to translate data-driven insights into impactful marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to support enrollment growth and brand positioning for the organization.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing efforts with institutional priorities and long-term goals.
Lead market research initiatives to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
Team Management
Directly manage and mentor three Marketing Managers, providing guidance on campaign planning, execution, and performance optimization.
Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear goals for team members.
Campaign Oversight
Oversee the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging.
Monitor campaign performance metrics (e.g., lead generation, conversion rates) and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Ensure compliance with university branding guidelines and regulatory standards across all marketing efforts.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary liaison between the marketing team and internal/external stakeholders, including university faculty, program directors, and external vendors.
Present campaign results, insights, and strategic recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
Build strong relationships with campus partners to ensure alignment on program goals.
Operational Excellence
Manage the overall marketing budget for assigned portfolios, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Oversee the creation of creative briefs for campaigns and materials developed by internal teams or external agencies.
Drive continuous improvement by leveraging data analytics to refine strategies and optimize ROI.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Marketing , Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Marketing.
Experience:
8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing roles, ideally within higher education or education technology sectors.
At least 3 years of experience managing a team of marketing professionals.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies.
Skills:
Strong leadership abilities with experience in coaching and mentoring teams.
Expertise in digital marketing channels (SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, CRM platforms).
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
Content Manager
Reports to: Director of Marketing
Position Overview: The Content Lead will develop and execute content strategy across all marketing channels to support online degree program marketing and enrollment objectives . This role is responsible for maintaining content quality, consistency, and alignment with both company and university partner brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive content strategies supporting marketing objectives for online degree programs
Lead the planning, creation, and optimization of content across web, email, social, and paid channels
Manages Content Specialist/s and Social Media Coordinator and coordinates with other team members to ensure integrated messaging
Establish content governance processes, style guides, and approval workflows
Work closely with university partners to ensure content accurately represents program offerings
Develop and maintain a content calendar for multiple programs across various channels
Analyze content performance and use insights to refine strategy
Qualifications:
X+ years of content marketing experience

Create engaging content including program descriptions, blog posts, emails, landing page copy, and other pieces of collateral
Adapt complex academic information into clear, compelling marketing messages
Maintain content consistency across channels while tailoring for specific platforms and audiences
Collaborate with SEO Specialist to optimize content for search engines
Work with designers and web team to pair content with effective visual elements
Adhere to university partner brand guidelines and voice requirements
