Gpac is currently seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join a fast-growing and successful client in the agriculture industry. This is a rare opportunity for a finance professional with hedge accounting experience, particularly within the grain industry, to play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of a billion-dollar business. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing hedge accounting functions, supporting financial reporting and analysis, and providing strategic insights to ensure the business continues to thrive and scale. Our client needs someone who is not only technically proficient but also ready to manage the complexities that come with a growing enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Manage hedge accounting strategies and market-to-market activities related to grain trading and pricing.
• Provide senior leadership with actionable financial insights that align with company goals.
• Collaborate with various business units to enhance profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee financial reporting to ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Monitor key financial metrics and business KPIs, driving informed decision-making across departments.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of growth, development, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to relevant tax, auditing, and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred).
• At least 5 years of finance management experience, with 3+ years specializing in hedge accounting or market-to-market within the grain or agriculture industry.
• Minimum of 3 years of people management experience, including team leadership and development.
• Strong understanding of hedge accounting and risk management techniques specific to agricultural commodities.
• Experience in managing financial operations for large, fast-growing businesses, ideally a billion-dollar organization.
• Advanced financial analysis skills, with a strong ability to interpret data and guide decision-making.
• Proficient in ERP systems, financial modeling tools, and Microsoft Excel (experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
