About the Role
As a Hotel Reservations Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless booking experience for guests while maximizing hotel occupancy and revenue. You will collaborate closely with the Reservations, Revenue, and Sales teams to support future and repeat business opportunities. Your role is vital in coordinating room assignments, managing group bookings, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
Monitor and manage room inventory to optimize occupancy and maximize revenue.
Process group rooming lists, reservations, and employee booking requests efficiently and accurately.
Coordinate with Front Office staff to ensure smooth guest experiences, including VIP room placements.
Communicate with the Sales and Front Desk teams to manage guest room blocks and special reservation needs.
Prepare reports on room occupancy, revenue trends, and business sources.
Assist in forecasting and analysis for revenue management meetings.
Stay up to date with reservation systems, policies, and updates.
Occasionally perform front desk duties such as guest check-ins, answering inquiries, and assisting with guest concerns.
Maintain organized records and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality or related fields is a plus.
2-3 years of experience in hotel reservations or a related field.
Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Experience with hotel reservation systems and basic financial data analysis is preferred.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and stand for extended periods during shifts.
