Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging, well-structured lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives and foster student growth.
Provide both theoretical and hands-on instruction in essential areas such as nail care, nail art, manicure techniques, and sanitation practices.
Demonstrate proper techniques and industry standards to ensure students learn both the practical and safety aspects of manicuring.
Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, learning, and development.
Supervise students during practical sessions, offering guidance and support to ensure proper technique and safety.
Evaluate student progress through assessments, offering constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
Recognize individual student needs and provide additional support as necessary to ensure all students succeed.
Stay informed on the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in the nail care industry, ensuring that your teaching reflects current advancements.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe teaching environment for both classroom and practical sessions.
Mentor students, offering professional guidance to inspire their growth both inside and outside the classroom.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve and update the curriculum and support ongoing program enhancements.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Current manicurist or cosmetology license in good standing is required.
Valid Instructor license is a must.
At least 1 year of professional experience as a practicing manicurist.
Prior experience in teaching or training, especially in a cosmetology or nail technology setting, is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of manicuring principles, practices, and industry trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and with enthusiasm.
Patience, passion, and a strong desire to mentor and support aspiring manicurists.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Comfort with incorporating technology into teaching, including multimedia resources.
A commitment to fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Schedule:
Flexible hours available, including both day and evening shifts. There may be options for remote or partial work-from-home arrangements.
