Job Description

SEP, a boutique staffing firm located in the heart of Boston, is hiring for a full-time Recruiter or Business Development Representative to join their growing team. This is a “full desk” position in which the incumbent will be expected to generate new business through cold and warm outreach, foster and maintain client relationships, and headhunt high caliber candidates. If you’re looking to run a 360 desk ranging from client acquisition and job creation to candidate sourcing and closure, then this is a great opportunity to consider.

Responsibilities:

  • Source new clients and business, evaluate talent, and provide consultative staffing services
  • Negotiate placements and uncover and resolve recruitment-related issues quickly and efficiently
  • Regularly maintain and manage your portfolio of candidates and clients
  • Research and adopt best practices that are up to industry standards in aligned with company objectives

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of professional client facing sales experience—ideally in Staffing and Recruitment or B2B Sales
  • Strong verbal and written consultative sales skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn and navigate new software products and user interfaces
  • Ability to thrive in a fast performance driven environment and quickly implement feedback and training from your manager

Bonus skills:

  • Proven ability in objection handling on the phone in a sales role
  • Experience in sourcing practices, such as direct sourcing, passive candidates searching, networking and application evaluation
  • Previous experience in financial or technical recruiting
