Job Description
A Wire Harness Installation Engineer job is currently available in San Antonio, TX. Position can be full-time, direct opportunity with benefits or contract. To be considered for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of engineering experience or an equivalent degree and experience combination.
Job Duties:
Electrical Liaison Engineer job duties:
- Assessment and resolution of issues related to electrical wire harness design and installation, and electrical equipment installation, through production cycle.
- Application of engineering principles to research issues and design solutions that conform to aerospace standards and federal regulations.
- Identification of process and product improves that can be incorporated during product assembly.
- Communication between assembly team and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and suppliers to address issues that arise during assembly.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Experienced with electrical harness design and installation in CAD software Catia V5 required.
- Ability to interpret provided engineering requirements and determine solution paths.
- Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, communicate technical information effectively with both internal team and external customers
- Manage time efficiently, and produce accurate designs
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask efficiently, and flexible enough to meet evolving customer prioritization of tasks
- Experience with aerospace, automotive, or industrial preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues
- Background/interest in aerospace (school/internship/work experience)
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.100 drafting standards, SAE AS50881, IPC/WHMA-A-620, ITAR trade compliance
- Experience with following software tools strongly preferred: Mentor Capital Logic (strongly preferred), PDM/DCAC/MRM, BOEBE Apps for CATIA, CATIA/Enovia, Bogart, WIRS/Mapper, Electrical Web Apps (WLI/ELI), IVT FASTR, eDAT
- Experience with CAD Software UGNX, Creo, Zuken, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc are also considered
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $85,000 to 110,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
